If you are spending a little longer in Stockholm you can also visit the Stockholm archipelago, with its 30,000 islands and unique natural setting.

Some of the islands can be reached by car, but for a full experience you should travel by boat. Among the main points of interest in the archipelago are the villages of Sandhamn and Waxholm.
